Support Local Art: A List of Resources for Artists Affected by Covid-19

In light of the global Coronavirus pandemic, it goes without saying that millions of people have been negatively affected financially. Of those millions, it's well documented that artists and small businesses are taking a large hit and are having a hard time making ends meet. The Fresh & Local team have always made it our business to look out for creatives, which has inspired us to do some research about resources that are currently offering relief funding for those that have had to cancel gigs or postpone paid performances. We sincerely hope that these organizations can help some people by covering essential expenses until we figure out what the future holds. This list is no particular order.

1. - The Artist Relief Project is collecting donations from those with the means to help. Funds will support artists in any discipline, who have been directly impacted by event cancellations and venue closures due to COVID19-related health concerns. The funds raised will offer relief to artists in the immediate short term in the form of a one-time stipend and in the long term in the form of resources for alternative, sustainable economic opportunities. [Grants up to $200]

2. Arts Leaders of Color Emergency Fund - -  This fund is for those who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color). [Grants up to $200, first come - first served]

3. MusiCares - - Sponsored by the Recording Academy (Grammys).

4. Equal Sound Musicians' Corona Relief Fund -

. Format's Photographer Fund -

6. Dramatists Guild Foundation - - Grants for writers, playwrights, lyricists, etc.

7. Create Dunwoody - - For artists in Dunwoody (ATL area) that have been financially affected by Covid-19.

8. C4 Atlanta Artist Lost Gig Fund - - For Atlanta Artists that lost money due to cancelled gigs.
