Sa-Roc has earned her reputation as not only one of the most official women in Hip-Hop, but moreover, an emcee that commands respect. Her brand of music is highly self aware, transparent, and often sheds light about self worth and value. In her latest release, "Forever" she opens up about battling with addiction to pills and cutting herself in the past while continuing to push the envelope and encourage her listeners to keep growing and mastering oneself. This isn't a downtrodden or sad song. This is the soundtrack to enlightenment and being confident enough to shine through whatever darkness that ensues.
The video for "Forever" is beautiful in a multitude of ways, from the strong depictions of women to the quality of the visual aesthetic. Shout out to Tommy Nova for capturing the essence and another salute goes to Sol Messiah for the fresh track that gave Sa-Roc the space to share these stories. We're patiently waiting for her full length debut with Rhymesayers Entertainment which is slated for a 2018 release. Stay tuned for more!
