Rex Novi Releases 1st Single - Rigors of Life

Those that are closely associated with the Fresh & Local family should be pretty familiar with Rex Novi. Since the inception of F&L he's played a key role as the team's primary recording/mixing engineer, videographer, photographer, and so much more - which basically led to the broader title of creative director for all his contributions. One thing that people really don't know is that he's always been behind the scenes working on music and writing his own songs. After taking the past year or so to really dial in on his craft, he's decided to release his first single to the public, "Rigors of Life."

The record is produced by Chxldz (another pillar in the Fresh & Local family tree) in which he gives Rex a West-Coast bounce to wax poetically on. In the SoundCloud description,  it's stated that "this song is about allowing people to change at their own pace. Just because you are the way you are currently doesn't mean you'll be that way forever. You cannot predict a person's role in society by who they are in their adolescence. Black boys deserve to fly too." We're proud to present this first single from Rex Novi's forthcoming full length, titled Prima Volta. As more updates come about the release date and more singles, we'll definitely have the info here first. Stay tuned and follow Rex Novi across his various social media channels.
