Cocoa Sarai Doesn't Want to Meet Your Parents

Brooklyn, NY singer/songwriter Cocoa Sarai has been making real waves in the music industry for quite a few years now and her new video "Wait a Minute" feels like something major is definitely on the horizon. The song is based on the 19th century Feminist movement and she's identifying it as the "new national anthem for independent women everywhere." Some very strong words from a very focused artist!

The video showcases Cocoa feeling very comfortable within her own skin, liberating herself from the constraints of typical relationships. She's a woman that knows what she wants and places it front and center from the opening line all the way through. The track has a strong bounce, trunk rattling bass, and an infectious hook that may remind listeners just a little bit of Rihanna (if Rih-Rih had vocal chops like this). Be sure to check out the rest of Cocoa Sarai's project "Nostalgia/The Vibey EP" and if you're digging it, support it on iTunes!
